Gypsum Lake Recreation Site

Experience Nicola Valley BC Camping & Fishing

Gypsum Lake Recreation Site is a more rustic remote camping experience that will not disappoint. Located in the heart of the Nicola Valley BC, this Merritt BC Canada backcountry lake camping experience is not for everyone. It is remote and it is you and nature, with little amenities. Camping at Gypsum Lake offers you a more immersive backcountry experience than your traditional campgrounds. Just so you know, do not rely on cell service at this lake. It is sporadic on good days.

Gypsum Lake Recreation Site Amenities

Camping at Gypsum Lake includes 4 - 5 camping sites on the lake. If forest cover is your thing, there are a few of those campsites as well. The campground provides picnic tables, outhouses, fishing, boat launch and clear blue skies. The lake is ideal for truck campers, small trailer's, 4x4's and overland vehicles. Gypsum Lake recreation site is a popular, sunny location for outdoor adventure seekers who enjoy hunting, camping, fishing and more.

Gypsum Mountain Hiking Trail

The Gypsum Mountain Hiking Trail is a non motorized 2 km one-way challenging walking trail leading to the top of Gypsum Mountain. Getting there may challenge you, so not for all ages, but for those who like a hard short hike the scenic view will amaze you.
